Hi, I’m Jennifer Ellis-Campbell.

After Torrance passed away, I reflected on how much those family memories meant to me. I realized that not every family in similar circumstances has the means to create such lasting, joyful memories. Driven by a deep empathy for others facing the same struggles, I founded Memory Makers Foundation. My mission is simple yet profound: to give families battling terminal illness the opportunity to experience the same kind of cherished moments that brought my family comfort during our darkest days.

My journey from heartbreak to hope is the heart and soul of Memory Makers Foundation. I’m committed to ensuring that other families can find light and laughter in the midst of their own battles, just as we did.

I know firsthand the pain and heartbreak of losing a loved one to cancer. When my husband Torrance was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at just 38 years old, our world was turned upside down. A devoted father of our two young sons, Torrance had always been the picture of health. The diagnosis was a devastating shock, but in the midst of the turmoil, we found solace in creating joyful memories together.

Despite the overwhelming sadness and uncertainty, we were fortunate enough to take several family trips, thanks to Torrance’s excellent job benefits. These trips, especially our unforgettable vacation to Hawaii, allowed us to momentarily escape the harsh reality of our situation and simply enjoy each other’s company. Those precious moments of fun and connection became a source of strength for me, helping my sons and me navigate the pain of knowing we would soon lose Torrance.
